Welcome to Groups at
Crossroads! It is our desire that everyone, regardless of where you’ve been or
what you’ve done truly connects in an authentic community here at Crossroads.
We are not a “one size fits all” church so we have several types of groups in
order for everyone to connect and become healthier followers of Jesus Christ or
as exists to Connect, Grow and Go! We also welcome those who don’t have a
personal relationship with Jesus Christ to participate in many of our Groups.
If you have questions that you have always wanted to ask in a church but felt
as if you would be judged or treated strangely, you don’t have to worry about
that here. None of us is perfect, we all have bad days, and we all need a warm
and inviting community. You belong here at Crossroads!
Types of Groups:
Activity Groups exist to
connect people in groups that like to do similar things. These are easy groups
to get connected to and easy groups to launch. They have a Host and meet all
throughout the year.
Core Groups are like
“advanced learning” groups. They cover specific topics (i.e. Finances,
Parenting, Marriage, Prayer, Healthy Habits, etc.), have a specific start date
and end date and are taught by an “expert” in that field. Most are offered on
Crossroad’s campus but there are some which meet off campus in someone’s home.
Support Groups exist to
connect people based on an issue, struggle, or situation that they are facing
in life. We all go through painful times in our life and we all need to find a
group of people willing and ready to love us, support us, and help us move from
a place of hurt to a place of
health. You will find that
here through our support groups. Support Groups at Crossroads also welcome others
who may go to a different church or who don’t go to church at all.
Small Groups exist to Connect people in an authentic and warm
community, help them Grow deeper in
their relationship with God’s word and other believers, and activate their
lives so that they are truly on mission or “Go-ing.” Most of our Small Groups meet in homes but some are on
campus during the week. Small Groups have a Host and set their own schedule
determine their own topic of study that the church leadership approves.
