Finding the right church can be hard. You probably have some questions that can’t be answered by a statement of faith of by reading about our ministries. We’ve tried to compile some of those here.
- How long are services?
Services last around 70-75 minutes. We have worship and announcements to start, then a relevant message, before we close out with a final song. We hope you’ll stick around after service too and have some coffee and donuts!
- Are my kids going to like it?
Oh yeah! We have services designed for each phase in your child’s growth so that they can engage with Jesus and grow just like you will. They’re not just fun, they’re also meaningful and built to deepen their relationship with Jesus at every age. Check out our kid’s ministry here and our student’s ministry here.
- What should I wear?
Whatever makes you feel comfortable! If that’s a suit and tie, that’s fine. If it’s shorts and a t-shirt, that’s also fine. You do you. We’re a “come as you are” sort of church so there’s no dress code.
- What kind of music do you do?
Our style is dynamic and contemporary. We want the words and the music to get stuck in your head so you can carry the truths of God with you throughout the week. We use drums, guitars, and even a Leslie organ speaker. Most of our music is archived on our SoundCloud, so give it a listen!
- What happens after service?
We know that better community happens around the table, so after service there’s delicious donuts and fresh coffee. We want you to hang out after church and get to know the people here. Sometimes, for special occasions, we’ll even break out the grill and make pancakes or hot dogs.
- Are your services online?
They are! We keep an archive of the past six to twelve months’ worth of services here.
- How did Crossroads get started?
In 1985, some families from Ventura Missionary Church and Calvary Community Church in Westlake Village, decided to plant a church here in Camarillo. What started in someone’s living room, quickly expanded and we’ve had to move around Camarillo several times to accommodate the way the Lord has grown us. What we think is especially awesome is that some of the families who originally planted the church are still active members today.
- What denomination are you?
We’re part of the Western Region of the Missionary Church. You can find out more information about our denomination here.
- What if I’m not sold on church. Can I still come?
ABSOLUTELY. Whether you haven’t stepped foot in a church for twenty years, or even at all, you can totally join us. It doesn’t matter what you believe, what you’ve done, who you are—you are always welcome at Crossroads. Even if you’re just here for the free coffee and donuts, come check us out.
