What is Chosen?
Chosen is a unique child sponsorship program from World Vision that turns the traditional sponsorship model upside down. Instead of sponsors choosing a child, children are given the opportunity to choose their sponsor. Individuals sign up to participate and submit a photo along with a commitment to monthly support. That photo is then shared at a special “Choosing Party” in a strategic community, and children select the sponsor they feel drawn to. Sponsors later receive a photo and story from the child who chose them, marking the beginning of a meaningful relationship.
Why is Crossroads participating in Chosen?
We are participating in Chosen because it unites our church around a shared mission that is bigger than ourselves. In a world that often pulls us inward, this is an opportunity to look outward — to focus together on serving children and communities in need. By coming together in this effort, we are not just sponsoring children — we are strengthening our unity as a church, living out our faith in action, and aligning around a mission that is not self-serving, but rooted in love, compassion, and global impact.
Why Bangladesh?
We are reaching out to Bangladesh because the need is great — both physically and spiritually. Many families there face significant challenges, including poverty, limited access to education, clean water, healthcare, and vulnerability to human trafficking. At the same time, Bangladesh is considered one of the most unreached places in the world for the Gospel. Our decision is intentional. Not only does it reflect our core value to reach the lost, but to also give beyond ourselves.
