God designed you to serve in an area based on your passions, gifts, and talents and we want to help you find that place.
When you serve in the area God designed for you, it’s both rewarding to you and beneficial to those you serve. But don’t take our word for it. Here’s one our volunteers, Jo Ann, talking about what serving means to her.
We have some opportunities for you to serve and find your sweet spot. If you don’t know where your sweet spot is just yet, that’s okay! Some of our most fulfilled volunteers will tell you that they’ve bounced around a bit before finding the place God made them to serve.
First Impressions
You only get one chance at a first impression, so if you want to help us make people feel the love of Jesus when they get to Crossroads, this is the spot for you!
PARKING
Welcome and guide guests and regular attendees to parking spots.
GREETERS
Greet and welcome guests and regular attendees on Sundays.
USHERS
Greet and welcome attendees, hand out bulletins and assist with seating.
CHECK-IN & REGISTRATION
Welcome guests, help new families register for weekend programs, and assist with kids’ check-ins.
CAFÉ
Help set up and clean up the cafe, and serve beverages and donuts.
GUEST SERVICES
Assist guests with general questions and inquiries.
Operations
If you want to help with the necessary things to keep Sunday mornings church running smoothly behind the scenes, operations may be the spot for you.
SAFETY
Help provide a safe environment on Sundays and for special events.
MEDICAL
We’re looking for people with paramedic or EMT training to assist with medical emergencies on Sundays and Events.
FACILITIES
Assist during the week with projects, repairs and maintenance.
Worship Arts
As worship leaders, we get to minister to people through music, prepare them for the message, and glorify the Lord through art. If you want to help us do that, join our team!
WORSHIP TEAM
Sing or play (or both!) in the weekend services and for special occasions (audition required). *Both services required.
TECH TEAM
Run the cameras, lyrics, lighting, or sound on weekend services and for special occasions. *Both services required.
LIVE STREAMING CHAT HOST
Greet attenders in the online chat, answer questions and share helpful links and resources.
PHOTOGRAPHER/VIDEOGRAPHER
Help build the photo and video library from weekend services and church events.
Kids Ministry
Help our kids to connect to God and each other, grow to become like Jesus, and go serving Jesus by serving others. (Background check required for adults.)
EXPLORROARS
(Birth – 3 yrs) Assist with teaching “God made me” and “God loves me” through Bible stories, songs, prayers and interactive play.
KRUZERS
(4 yrs – Kindergarten) Assist with teaching “God made me,” “God loves me” and “God created all things” through Bible stories, songs, prayers, crafts and activities.
WIRED
(1st – 3rd) Help kids learn “God is with me,” “God’s power is real” and
“Jesus is a gift” through Bible stories, singing, praying, and small group activities and conversations. We need: hosts, storytellers and small group leaders.
BRINK
(4th & 5th) Help kids continue to learn “Jesus is a gift” and “God wants a relationship with me” through a Bible lesson, worship, engaging activities and authentic discussions.
WORSHIP
Be a part of the production (sound and media) for Wired and/or Brink.
VOLUNTEER CHILDCARE TEAM
Help with childcare needs for classes, life groups and special events.
SPECIAL NEEDS
Help with children who have special needs and provide a more intimate learning environment.
Roots Student Ministry
Help our students establish strong roots in their relationship with Jesus by connecting in the body of believers, growing in their knowledge and faith, and going to serve the community and the world. (Background check required for adults.)
MIDDLE SCHOOL LIFE GROUP LEADERS
Be a Life Group leader for guys and girls who facilitates discussion for a 6th, 7th, or 8th grade group.
HIGH SCHOOL LIFE GROUP LEADERS
Be a Life Group leader for guys and girls who facilitates discussion for a 9th, 10th, 11th, or 12th grade group.
STUDENT MINISTRY WORSHIP TEAM
Be a part of the platform (on stage) teams for weekends and special events. An audition is required.
Prayer
If you like to lift people up to the Lord through prayer, encouragement, or care, this is the team for you.
*Interview process required for the prayer teams.
BEFORE SERVICE PRAYER TEAM
Join others before first service each Sunday to pray for the services, those serving, those attending, etc. *Open to anyone (no interview process required).
AFTER SERVICE PRAYER TEAM
Pray with people after service.
CONGREGATION PRAYER TEAM
Pray for the weekly needs submitted by the congregation on your own time.
LOVE NOTES TEAM
Write three to five notes a week to those who submit a weekly prayer request.
Office
If you’d rather help out behind the scenes with the day-to-day logistics of keeping the church running after the mission God has given us, this is the team for you!
OFFICE
Help with miscellaneous office needs, cutting, laminating, mailings, special projects.
CHAIRBACKS
Restock and organize the auditorium chairbacks midweek.
Outreach
Be a part of what Jesus is doing through Crossroads in the community and around the world!
FOOD PANTRY
Be a part of providing food to those in need each Thursday evening here at the church.
HELPING HANDS
Help serve the elderly, poor, disabled, single parents and foster homes of the church family primarily, and secondly to members of the community who are in need of handy work or help that they cannot do themselves and cannot afford to have someone else do.
