Why We Give
At Crossroads, we believe that giving of our first fruits is an act of worship and a way that we can honor God with what He has given us. God has greatly increased the effectiveness of Crossroads through your gifts. You have an opportunity to transform our world through God’s Word, one life at a time.
Your tithes and gifts are vital to the everyday ministry that take place in and through Crossroads! We ask that you would prayerfully consider how God is leading you to give. Check out the three funds we have below so you can decide where to give.

Our Funds
General Fund
Our General Fund allows us to do most of the ministry of Crossroads. It’s used to cover the operating budget for most of our ministries, our staff, and new ideas. If you have a heart for making Sunday mornings happen, for seeing our kids and student ministries flourish, for Life Groups and Outreach, for Men’s and Women’s Ministry, for seeing people connect, grow, and go, this is the fund that makes all of those things happen.
Provide Fund
Our Provide Fund allows us to help those in financial crisis at Crossroads. It assists people in our church family by providing short-term help in a real, tangible way.
Building for Tomorrow 3.0
Our Building Fund allows us to expand the vision God has given us. Through this fund, we’ve been able to hire more staff, expand our streaming ministry, renew our cafe and auditorium, and much more! It’s one of the reasons we are able to continue growing and expanding so that we can help our community connect, grow, and go with Jesus.
Christmas Offering
This Special Offering is a year-end giving initiative that expands Crossroads reach to impact people who are in need. It is encouraged to be above and beyond one’s normal tithe and lasts for the entire month of December.
This year’s Christmas offering will support the following initiatives:
- Gabriel’s House – This local Christian organization offers a place of hope for homeless women and children. They provide stable housing and the support they need to move towards independent living.
- Ventura Rescue Mission – This local organization serves as a place of refuge to the poor, a place of recovery for those bound by addiction, and a place of restoration for those getting their life back on track.
- RAIN Communities – This organization’s mission is to provide resources to address the unmet housing and service needs of homeless individuals and families in Ventura County.
- Student Camp Fund – Camp costs have increased this year. Your donation will help reduce the cost of camps for our students and their families.
FAQ’s
Can I set up an account for my spouse and me?
Each person has their own account and you’ll each get an individual giving statement at the end of the year for tax purposes.
Will be my credit card information be saved?
Only if you choose to, or if you schedule a recurring gift.
Is it secure?
Online giving is actually more secure than checks or cash. With this system, you won’t have three or four different people processing your paper checks or cash. Your gift is electronically transferred directly to Crossroads’ bank and the information about your transfer is sent to Crossroads’ internal records.
How do I view my giving history?
Log in to to your profile and select the “giving” tab. You can download your statement from there. If you have any issues or see any discrepancies, please contact us.
How is every dollar used?
Each dollar that you give goes to fulfilling the mission and vision of Crossroads, and 10% of your giving goes straight into Outreach. We take the time each month to make sure that all our money is being spent wisely and properly.
What about missions and outreach?
Our Outreach Committee meets regularly to discuss their plans for Outreach and they set a budget that is funded by our General budget. So every dollar that goes into our General budget also helps fund all of our Outreach and Missions financially.
